The Power of Building Your Own Table: Lessons from Safe Bus Company's Legacy

In a world where access to opportunity is still limited, the story of Safe Bus Company serves as an inspiring reminder that resilience and self-determination can lead to success, even when a seat isn't offered at the table. Founded in 1926 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Safe Bus was the first Black-owned busing company operating until 1972.

But this isn't just a story about a successful business; it's a tale of perseverance and determination that has shaped our own project, MCMXXVI (1926). As a hip-hop artist, professional manager, and music engineer, JRich is no stranger to the struggle for representation in the music industry. Together with designer Jordan Daniels, he's creating new merch, music, and experiences inspired by the legacy of Safe Bus Company.

The story of Safe Bus isn't just about owning a bus company; it's about building your own table when a seat isn't offered. It's a lesson we've taken to heart as we work on MCMXXVI (1926). Our project is inspired by the resilience and determination of Safe Bus Company, which thrived despite facing numerous challenges during its 46-year history.

We believe that the power of building your own table isn't just about creating opportunities for yourself; it's about creating opportunities for others too. That's why we're using our platform to spotlight a story that deserves to be remembered – one that highlights the importance of ownership, resilience, and self-determination in the face of adversity.

And it's not just about telling a story; it's about transforming history into a full experience that goes beyond music and fashion. We want our audience to feel the power of building their own table by immersing themselves in the world we've created around MCMXXVI (1926).

So, what does this mean for us? It means that we're committed to creating a project that tells a story that needs to be told. A story about resilience, determination, and self-determination. A story that reminds us all of the power of building your own table when a seat isn't offered.

We invite you to join us on this journey as we explore the legacy of Safe Bus Company and share our experiences with MCMXXVI (1926). Together, we can create a world where everyone has a seat at the table – or better yet, where everyone has their own table to build upon.

Stay tuned for more updates on our project MCMXXVI (1926) and the legacy of Safe Bus Company. In the meantime, check out our latest music, merch, and experiences by visiting [JRich Ent](https://jrich-ent.com/) and [Jordan Daniels](https://www.jordandaniels.co/).
